| Bollywood's First Ever Kungfu Comedy

Synopsis : "From the hustle-bustle of Chandni Chowk to the hutongs of Beijing, the electric energy of Shanghai and sheer breathtaking Chinese landscapes, Chandni Chowk To China chronicles the lunatic adventures of a hapless simpleton cook Sidhu(Akshay Kumar from Delhi) mistaken for the reincarnation of an ancient Chinese warrior by the villagers of an oppresed Chinese village. As he goes to seek his destiny, he finds himself thrown into a crazy world of megalomaniac villains, femme fatales, crazy inventors, Chinese mysticism and outlandish kung-fu assassins!
The film earlier known as Mera Naam Chin Chin Choo and also Made in China, is written by Sridhar Raghavan who also wrote Khakee (2004) and Bluffmaster (2005).Chandni Chowk to China is said to be semi- autobiographical film potraying actor Akshay Kumar’s life. He himself agreed that about half of the film is based on his life. The story is about a chef who is mistaken to be a martial arts expert. Shooting began in January 2008 and included a schedule in China. Nikhil Advani later announced that Sakhi(Deepika Padukone) will be essaying a double role in the film. Deepika Padukone plays a Chinese Woman and an Indian Woman. Chinese superstar Gordon Liu will make his Bollywood debut. The music is by Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy. The movie also features music by Kailash Kher.
Work on the music has officially begun and is slated to release in October this year."
